KEY INGREDIENTS

Retinol, a derivative of vitamin A, is considered to be dermatology's "anti-aging gold standard," promoting collagen production to smooth wrinkles, exfoliating the skin, refining skin texture and pore size, and even combating breakouts. Without careful formulation, however, it can be sensitizing to the skin and damaging to the skin barrier, which is why this formula instead reaches for nature's best evidence-based alternative: a form of sensitive skin-friendly bio-retinol — or bakuchiol — in the form of the patented Sytenol^® A. This pairing of powerful antioxidants functions synergistically to protect the skin while simultaneously minimizing the signs of aging, from fine lines and wrinkles to hyperpigmentation and dark spots.

Vitamin C is a potent antioxidant that is necessary for collagen production, helping to fend off free radical damage, and brightening skin tone. However, vitamin C is an active ingredient that is notoriously unstable when exposed to air and light, which is why this formula opts for fourhighly stable forms of Vitamin C in Dragon-C. First there is 30% Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate, a highly absorptive form of oil-soluble vitamin C that is both heat- and oxygen-stable. Three other plant-based sources of naturally-stabilized vitamin C come via the anti-inflammatory and anti-melanogenic Kakadu plum oil — with a concentration of vitamin C that is 50% higher than that of oranges — mineral-rich Goji berry oil, and Dragon Fruit Oil.

Syntenol^® A, or bakuchiol oil, is an evidence-based alternative to retinol that relays the same benefits to the skin — anti-aging, anti-acne, exfoliating, tone-evening — minus any of the sensitizing and corrosive effects of retinol. It stimulates a regenerative function in the skin, mitigating the effects of lost collagen as we age, as well as providing antioxidant protection against the onslaught of environmental aggressors, dietary factors, and sources of oxidative stress that can also cue the breakdown of the skin's structural components. It performs these functions along with Rambutan extract, another sensitive skin-friendly retinol alternative, which is sustainably harvested from Vietnam and promotes skin elasticity.

Additional hydrating, soothing, and skin barrier-fortifying ingredients make this oil appropriate even for dry and sensitive skin types. Harakeke Seed Oil provides an occlusive component that locks in the nutrients and moisture of the blend (i.e., preventing trans-epidermal water loss), with Linoleic Fatty Acids that promote ceramide production for a healthily functioning skin barrier. Non-comedogenic Mongongo Seed Oil serves an additional protective purpose for the skin, while omega-rich Lingonberry Oil lends an ample dose of vitamin E — a skin-healer with a stabilizing effect on vitamin C — that is 60x as powerful as its synthetic alternative.

We always select the cheapest possible option and fastest delivery.

DELIVERY OF GLASS AND LIQUID PRODUCTS

Luxurious brands such as Lovinah and Terre Verdi are packaged in glass, and contain liquid contents. If anything happens to them, most couriers will not pay insurance because of this. We cannot take that risk as the products are expensive, which is why we must choose the courier that promises to reimburse us in case of accident, loss or theft. Having said, the courier is still cheaper than using the Czech Post Office service without tracking.

We cooperate with a private courier company in Czechia, Packeta, that uses GLS, DPD, UPS and other companies to safely and quickly deliver your precious packages. The delivery to most countries takes between 3-5 working days, but longer distances take longer time to deliver, of course.

ECOLOGICAL AND ZERO WASTE PACKAGING

Within Czechia and Slovakia we pack in ecological boxes filled with wooden wool. This packaging is both aesthetically pleasing and zero waste, but also more expensive than recycled/ reused boxes and traditional filling materials. However, when sending to other foreign countires we must add additional security and we were told the wooden wool may not be sufficient protection. We may need to individually wrap glass products or liquid products in bubblewrap or use plastic 'pillows' filled with air to avoid potential breakage during handling and transit. Once the courier has the package, what happens with it is out of our hands, which is why the complete zero waste packaging is not always possible. We apologise for this inconvenience.

Our online store is not a massive online ecommerce store, it is more of an online boutique with a select brands and products we believe in, and which may not be available everywhere. Producers usually make the products for us, fresh to order, and we focus on less known, but certified organic or 100% natural and very unique, brands with distinguished formulations. Hence, we cannot offer FREE shipping on orders of 50 or 100EUR.
