Why we love it

I am one of the best moisturizers for mature, (very) dry skin. I have a light and silky texture, but I'm also heavily moisturizing. Because I have an ultra-fine molecular texture, I penetrate deeply and quickly into the dermis layer of the skin.

Some people call me their holy grail. Others call me "the protector of their skin". I don't mind either way, because both types of people are right!

I am perfect for dry and aging skin. I can be heavy on oily - combination skin, so if you want to try me, I recommend just a drop or two - literally!

If you have oily or acne prone skin, I would recommend you choose another oil from my family such as organic jojoba oil, 100% squalene or the great all-purpose CO2 extracted organic rosehip oil.

Our tip: You know that 'elephant' brand that sells super-expensive marula oil? Well, this one is just as good, much cheaper, and it comes in a beautiful miron glass bottle!

What is marula oil?

Marula oil is extracted from the fruit of the Marula tree, which is native to South Africa. The fermented fruits of the marula tree are said to intoxicate even African elephants. Marula oil is extracted from its kernels and is rich in protein, fatty acids, amino acids and antioxidants. It's one of those oils you can use all over your body, not just on your face.

Marula oil (Sclerocarya birrea)*

Marula seed oil is from the seeds of the Marula tree native to southern Africa. It is a deeply nourishing oil rich in antioxidants with healing and anti-inflammatory properties. It improves skin hydration and smoothness while strenghtening the skin‘s barrier function. Rich fatty acids also make it an ideal softening and conditioning agent in haircare products.

Apply 2 to 3 drops to the face or any area that needs hydration and nourishment.
Can also be used under the eyes - to firm, rejuvenate and minimise fine lines.
For daily use, follow up with FYI Cosmetics Daily Protective Moisturizer with SPF30.
Feel free to mix me up with other single oils as you see fit!

Tip

Because I'm an oil, it absorbs better into damp skin. So if you gently moisturize your skin, such as with a toner, and then gently pat me into your skin, you'll be surprised how quickly your skin will absorb me.

Another way to use me is by mixing a few drops into your moisturiser. This will make the cream more moisturizing. So if you feel like your cream is just sitting on your face and doing nothing, try adding me, marula oil (or any other!) to make it better.
