NUI Cosmetics Correct & Conceal WEKA is made from 88% certified organic ingredients such as castor oil, coconut oil, jojoba oil, cocoa and shea butter and vitamin E. It also includes mineral filter, rice powder and vegan candelilla wax. It is a 100% natural and vegan product.
Castor oil has the ability to soften, regenerate, heal, smooth wrinkles and hydrate. It is often used in products for dry and scaly skin, and for the treatment of scars and eczema.
Coconut oil has antioxidant properties and helps in healing skin infections and bruises. Its softening properties make it a popular ingredient in cosmetic products that are used to moisturize and soften skin and hair.
Jojoba oil is classified as wax, has no smell, does not clog pores and most resembles human sebum. Thanks to these properties, jojoba oil is a good emollient in cosmetics and is suitable for dry, sensitive and acne skin.
Cocoa butter is one of the most stable fats (can be stored for 2 to 5 years) containing natural antioxidants that prevent product rancidity. It is therefore often added to cosmetic products as a stabilizer. Butter has a soft texture, sweet smell and is very emollient.
Candelilla wax is a product of plant origin and it acts as an emulsifier (binds the substances together) and a stabilizer (stabilizes the emulsion).
What is the difference between concealer and corrector?
a) You rarely use correctors on their own, while with concealers you can do.
b) Correctors are more effective in neutralizing the different colours and shadows on the skin, which render it unsightly/ uneven.
c) Correctors can be in different colours (green, peach, yellow, purple, etc.) and their purpose is to remove unwanted skin colour, eg. peach or golden color can cancel dark purple circles under eyes, green cancels redness caused by pimples, rosacea, etc.
d) Concealers are always formulated to match the individual make-up for each skin tone (from lightest to darkest).
e) Concealer should cover the skin flaws/imperfections, but sometimes it may not be quite effective when used alone without a corrector, eg. if you suffer from really dark eye circles or irritated skin, it is best to first use a corrector to neutralize the colours, second apply a concealer, and finally makeup and/ or powder.
