Nailberry zakladatelka, Sonia HullyThe Nailberry brand is the brainchild of a chic French expat living in London ... Sonia Hully's journey to less toxic nail polishes has led through several different career paths. At the age of 21, she got a job in finance at the renowned Société Générale, which led to a career as a broker. She then moved to the film industry (working for Pathé and Momentum Pictures) eventually becoming a real estate developer, where she used her creative talent in renovation and interior design.

But seeing that the cosmetics industry was still thriving despite the recession, she turned her attention to the development of international brand within this industry, and Nailberry was born. It is 2012 and a luxurious nail salon is being created in the prestigious Chelsea district of London. While caring for high-profile, affluent clientelle, Sonia notices that many of them suffer from dry and damaged nails, whether due to lifestyle, pollution or semi-permanent gel manicures. All the brands she uses in the salon do not solve the situation in any way, and therefore she begins to develop a range of nail polishes that would prevent these problems. Her vision is to create the most natural cruelty-free nail polishes.

Nailberry

The first 4-FREE nail polishes without the most notorious chemicals, ie. formaldehyde, toluene, dibutyl phthalates and camphor and any animal by-products were created in 2013. At the time, this was a very new concept that captivated renowned and respected British beauty blogger Jane Cunningham (britishbeautyblogger.com). She tried the nail polishes, fell in love with the colours and the whole concept for that matter, and wanted to be the first to write about Nailberry. At the time, she said that these nail polishes were going to become a serious industry contender, and that they were something the industry had been waiting for without even realising it.

Another very remarkable milestone for Nailberry was when the famous (and influencing) department store Le Bon Marché in Paris became a reseller in France. In the UK, it was the department stores Selfridges and Harvey Nichols in 2015, and in 2019 John Lewis.

Nailberry nail polishes are characterised by excellent pigmentation, high gloss finish and UV filters. They have great brushes that guarantee perfect and precise application in one "stroke".
